XR HUB Würzburg

It is planned that the XR HUB Würzburg at the chair for human computer interaction
Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg.
Würzburg was according to a technology assessment for the German Bundestag
recently as one of the outstanding national and international locations for
XR research identified [1].
The chair under the direction of Prof. Dr. med. Marc Erich Latoschik researches
for over 25 years in the multimodal system of Virtual and Augmented Reality
and is thus one of the oldest working groups with over decades comprehensive research expertise at the interface of XR and AI. The XR-Hub Würzburg uses this competence to transfer scientific / technical know-how into application-oriented product developments, in particular to make fundamental scientific findings directly accessible to the industry and thus to transport existing as well as newly emerging knowledge to companies. The XR HUB Würzburg is to serve in particular the focus research, industrial connection and knowledge communication.
Responsible for the XR-Hub is Prof. Dr. med. Marc Erich Latoshik.
The operational management assumes Daniel Roth.
